FREE Sermon Workflow for Logos Bible Software
Video training for setting up your Logos Software
We need to equip more Spirit-gifted preachers to reach the lost and serve the local church. If you are a church planter, or a pastor looking to equip a strong teaching team, then you will be happy to discover these tools. For users of Logos Bible Software, I’ve uploaded a public workflow titled, 5 Day Planner for Expository-Narrative Sermons. The biggest influence on my method of sermon preparation is my former professor Sunukjian. His book, Invitation to Biblical Preaching: Proclaiming Truth with Clarity and Relevance is a great resource. If you haven’t read it, the video below will give you an idea of how I’ve applied Don’s teaching. This short video summarizes my approach which I label the Expository Narrative method.
You can view the rest of my videos on the different methods of preaching here.
I am encouraged by the commitments to God’s Word and its effective proclamation that Dr. Miller demonstrate in the videos. They are creatively done and with clear attention to reinforcing appropriate purposes and values.

About My 5-Day Workflow

This 5 day workflow will help you preach more powerfully with less preparation time… that means you can have more time every day to love the people in your life! At the end of the week, you will have in-hand a teaching outline ready to help you preach a quality sermon with a useful study guide for small groups or a Sunday School class. This method works best for those who are dedicated to an expository methods of study and a narrative style of preaching. The video below also shows how to add the workflow into your system.
Dr. Miller has found a way to engage the young preacher/teacher in presenting the text of God in a fashion that exposes the text, encourages the teacher and embraces the tool of expository preaching. This is a great resource not only to college and seminary students, but also to seasoned preachers of the Word.

Training
Many years ago I was a nationally recognized expert and trainer in Logos Bible Software. I started using Logos in the mid-1990s during his Seminary days and learned to harness its power during his decades of pastoral ministry, doctoral studies, and as a professor. I even spent two years working for Logos Bible Software. In those two years, I found the biggest need was better training for those who already owned Logos. I no longer do live workshops, but subscribers to my site can still take advantage of my ministry and teaching teaching experience. When you subscribe, you’ll get access to my 2 hour and 45 minute workshop which has helped men and women discover the “how-to’s” of using Logos for the day-to-day mission of Bible study, teaching, and preaching.
I just love this approach to sermon prep. I have been pastoring for 13 years and preaching on a regular basis. When I purchased Logos Bible Software, I was completely overwhelmed with the amount of material available and consequently, was not able to use it. However, your simple approach has given me real direction. thanks so much!
