What Does The Future Hold For Me?

1 Thesalonians 4

Twelve years ago I asked this question in a sermon, What Does The Future Hold For Me? This question is more relevant than ever as millions of people across the globe experience the challenges and tragedies of our age. Some people have a dim view of the future and back in 2012 musical artists like Kesha were telling us,"Look, you're going to die young, so live for what you can get today." But there is a better way forward. In this message from 1 Thessalonians 4 I show how our desire for Christ shapes identity. Thomas Merton wrote,"Life is shaped by the end you live for. You are made in the image of what you desire.”1

Message preached on the last Sunday of 2012 at Pathways Community Church in Santee, CA.
